Building a Lego Table - Concept Design

Like others, after spending a little time looking around for a good LEGO table I came up with nothing really suitable for my 2.5 and 4.5 year old boys. So, with some design tips from my wife I embarked on a short DIY project. The goal is to build a good size table that can be enjoyed by 2 – 4 kids. This was the initial concept drawing: The idea was to have drawers accessible by both sides.
